Lessons for life

Getting the clothes recycling message through to the younger generation today could succeed in reducing our landfill mountains in the future.

Extending the average life of clothes by just 3 months would lead to a 5-10% reduction in carbon, water and waste footprints.

Schools and Colleges

It’s important to teach children and young people about recycling their unwanted clothing and textiles from an early age to help encourage behaviour change in future generations.

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd works with many schools and colleges throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland to run recycling schemes that give children the opportunity to make donations safely and easily at their school, whilst learning about textile recycling and raising money.

For further details on the schemes we offer for primary school children click here and for older children click here.
