Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd was established in 1991 and is the UK’s leading textile and clothing collection company. Through its Clothing Collection Scheme, Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd operates a network of over 5,000 textile recycling banks around the country collecting clothing, shoes and household linens. It also has a network of more than 140 charity shops nationwide which sell items from bric a brac and books to clothing and household goods.
Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd recycles clothes, shoes and textiles; from shirts to skirts, trainers to trousers, and even soft toys, all items can be put to good use for clothing or making items such as mattresses.
Textiles are the UK’s fastest growing household waste stream. By recycling our unwanted clothes and textiles we can help the environment by reducing what we send to landfill and reusing valuable resources.
